Terms of Use

Last updated 14 October 2026

These terms govern your use of the Studiolo app, its browser extension, and this website. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use them.

The app

Studiolo is an app for macOS, made by Mer So Studio, LLC. It is in alpha: free to use, shared with a small group, and still changing. Features may change or be removed, and an alpha version may stop working when a newer one replaces it.

Your files and your content

Studiolo works on folders you already have, on your own Mac. Everything in them, and everything you write about them, belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership of it, and we never receive it.

Studiolo moves and renames files when you ask it to, and files new arrivals into your folders when Sorting Inbox is on. Your files stay on your Mac and in your own backups, so keeping those backups is your responsibility.

What you save

The images, pages, and videos you save belong to whoever made them. Saving them for your own reference is what Studiolo is for; you are responsible for how you use them beyond that.

Acceptable use

Use Studiolo for lawful purposes. Don't use it to infringe anyone else's rights, or to interfere with the services it talks to.

No warranty

Studiolo is provided as it is, especially while it is in alpha. We make no guarantees about its availability, about the preservation of your data, or about its fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, software updates, or other causes outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mer So Studio, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Studiolo.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Studiolo will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Studiolo after changes means you accept the updated terms.
